Plus 10 and dry when driving in.

Tom Siddall was here all day yesterday rasping our horses' teeth..  Tom calls in twice a season to look at and help their teeth..probably a better service than most humans receive !?
 
Uttoxeter was not brilliant as booked jockey Gavin Sheehan was injured and unable to ride.
 
Johnny Burke was just leaving when we stopped him as he was about get into his car to face the Friday traffic..a quick change and off he went.. Gavin suggested that Gerard Mentor needed to be handier after riding him last time, but the change of tactics did not work as GM pulled so hard that his race was run by the time they turned into the home straight.. we have always ridden him from way of the pace..
 
Clare and I met up with Martyn and Sandra Steer Fowler for an excellent supper at The Mayflower last night.
 
Cricket was going well for England..But The West Indians collected 3 very quick wickets last night.. Could be an interesting game to watch today?

Last nights opening ceremony ..You have to feel sorry for Paris..It poured with rain and ruined what could have been a very good show but you needed to watch it on television to appreciate it.. a torrid day with trains lines sabotaged..

Ciaran Gethings was back riding out this morning after breaking his collarbone at Stratford some 5 weeks ago.. it has been a long mend and rehab has been helped by the team at Oaksey House.
 
Derek and Sian Eaton were here this morning to see their KBRS horse Campaign Trail
 
Martyn and Sandra Steer Fowler were also here to see their homebred Trelawne..
