Breakfast at 10 Syndicate

The Kemble Brewery is a lovely, athletic gelding by Blue Bresil who was bought at the Goffs Landrover sales in June 2022 for a syndicate managed by Peter Kerr.

Having been broken in by Martin Jones he has shown plenty of promise at home and it was no surprise he made a winning bumper debut at Huntingdon. He shows great attitude and ability at home. The Kemble Brewery is a super exciting prospect for the yard and won his second bumper at Cheltenham in October 2023. We look forward to his Novice Hurdle season this winter.

Rio Grandees

El Rio was bought at the end of last year after winning a point to point in Ireland, this son of Elusive Pimpernel was unlucky not to win first time out at Chepstow in February for the Rio Grandees syndicate when just needing to jump the last he crumpled on landing and came down. However compensation was soon to arrive next time out at Ascot where he won impressively by an easy 11 lengths.

This exciting prospect has the scope to be a chaser in time but will probably stay over hurdles this year.

The Xtra Specials

Grand Escaparde is a very big horse by Getaway and predictably has taken a little bit of time. He works well at home but didn't show his ability on the racecourse until he was 3rd over fences at Ffos Las on his last run before his summer break.

The Thrill Seekers

Mikhailovich is a strong gelding who made his racecourse debut in a bumper at Chepstow in April 2022 when he ran very well to be third despite showing signs of greeness and finding the ground a little on the quick side. The 2022/23 season has been a difficult one for him as he struggled to breathe on heavy ground. However, since the end of the season he has had a wind operation which could certainly make a difference to him. He has returned from his holiday. He won his seasonal debut at Huntingdon and we look forward to a far better season ahead.

The P G Tipsters

Phantom Getaway is yet another imposing son of Getaway. He is a former Irish point-to-point winner who also ran well enough in his bumper. He was placed second in his three hurdle races in the 2021/22 season. Although frustrating it was proabably a blessing in disguise as it gave him more time to mature. He won first time out at Ffos Las for the 2022/23 season. Annoyingly, things did not go his way for the 2023/24 season but he looks a well handicapped chaser for the upcoming 2023/24 season.

The Surprise Syndicate

Magical Escape is a well bred and extremely good looking gelding, he was bought from Willie and Mandy Bryan and they did his pre-training before sending him here. A beautiful horse who has shown us plenty in his work at home and has done nothing but grow since arriving at Thorndale, now standing at 17hh! He had two encouraging runs in bumpers before winning two hurdle races and looks to be still improving. Now enjoying a summer break, the time off will no doubt be beneficial to him and we look forward to campaigning him this season.

The Front Ears Syndicate

Fair Frontieres was purchased privately after he placed second in a competitive maiden hurdle at Navan in January 2021. During the 2021/22 season he looked really impressive winning first time out at Worcester by 41 lengths. He then went onto win two further races and upon his final run of the season he finished 6th in a Grade 1 novice hurdle at Aintree. He unfortunately missed last season but all being well he isb back for the 2023/24 season - suitably refreshed and ready to go novice chasing!

The Percy Vera's Syndicate

Percy Veering is by Dewhurst and Derby winner Sir Percy, who is now making his mark as a National Hunt sire. This gelding was bought by Mags O'toole at the Tattersalls Land Rover Sale during lockdown. He has been very slow to come to hand and as a result of it very backward. However, patience has been rewarded for this aptly named horse winning three races during the 2023/24 season and may well improve further.

The Strollers Syndicate

Parc d'Amour is a good-looking son by Walk in the Park was purchased by Mags O'toole during lockdown. He is a big, strong, athletic gelding who has taken time to learn his trade. However, he continues to give his owners some fun days - in his 11 races so far he has only been out of the frame once and he most recently won on chase debut at Southwell. He is an exciting prospect for his syndicate!

Garrett, Meacham & Woodhall

Gerard Mentor sums up what racehorse ownership is all about. He ran well in his bumper and for quite a long time after that he became very frustrating as a 'nearly' horse but bizarley a saddle slipping at Market Rasen probably shocked him enough to go and win. This seems to be the turning of the corner to his career as he has been far more consistent and a regular in the winners enclosure. However, he is very much in the hands of the handicapper but it shouldn't be long until he gets his head in front again.

Yes He Does Syndicate

Does He Know has been a real yard stalwart. He has 21 career runs, winning 8 and placed 4. He was a decent enough hurdler but chasing really has transformed him. You only have to look at his form to realise what a gem he has been! His zest for life continues which showed when winning the Grimthorpe Chase in the 2023/24 season. Now out at grass for the summer, he is a horse we look forward to for the 2024/25 season.

The Second Chancers

Shantou Express has been a very admirable horse for his owners. He has been consistent for his syndicate winning five times. His zest for life is evident in his work at home and is always transferred to the track. Now back on a winning handicap mark, he is an exciting horse to go to war with.

Soldiering On Syndicate

Zmiinyi is an exciting 5 year old by fashionable sire Soldier Of Fortune bought at the Cheltenham Tattersalls sale in May 2023. He was unlucky not to win in his latest point to point race (pulled up first time because his saddle slipped) beaten by a diminishing short head. Jumping brilliantly he finished very strongly showing battling qualities when short of room in the closing stages. He is a surefire chaser in the making.
