Samatian is not a natural chaser.. He will revert to hurdling now, in the spring. Spring..It might have felt like it yesterday,.,. Day two of the February heat wave!

Norman Carter and I had an enjoyable days racing and it was good to bump into an old Welsh mates Ant and Clare Griffiths.. Ant enjoyed reminding me that I did not give him a ride in his hey day as an amateur.. Hummmm.. God that was a long time ago..

Yesterday cricket ended evenly....

Last night's Rugby was a great game to watch.. Ireland a different class?

Saturday...

David Bass and Ciaran Gethings were in to ride out. We jumped Grand Escaparde, Bobhopeornohoope, Brendas Asking and Halligator.

We had a group in for a morning on the gallops bought at a Jame's Place Charity Auction. Nicky De Montfort, Jeanie Pollock, Celia Beor-Roberts, Emily Campbell, Annie Cox and JB Wild.

Derek Eaton who celebrates his birthday today was here with Sian and daughter and grand son to see his KBRS horse Campaingn Trail.

Marion Hudson was also here to see her KBRS horse Espoir De Romay.

We don't have any runners over the weekend so will be glued to the TV, excellent racing from Sandown and Mussleburgh and of course Dublin Racing Festival.. Top class racing..Sadly looking down the racecards in Leopardstown it looks like a Willie Mullins bonanza weekend.. Loads of English fans over in Ireland for the weekend.

"Good morning," said the young man. "If I could take a couple of minutes of your time, I would like to demonstrate the very latest in high-powered vacuum cleaners."

"Go away!" yelled old Mrs. O'Malley. "I haven't got any money!" and she proceeded to close the door.

Quick as a flash, the young man wedged his foot in the door and pushed it wide open.

"Don't be too hasty!" he said. "Not until you have at least seen my demonstration."

And with that, he emptied a bucket of horse manure onto her hallway carpet.

"If this vacuum cleaner does not remove every trace of horse manure from your carpet, Madam, I will personally eat the remainder."

"Right," said Mrs. O'Malley, "I hope you've got a good appetite, because the electricity was cut off this morning."

Have a great weekend and see you on Monday..
