The T20 World Cup started on Sunday..

Not a huge fanfare here but the rescheduled ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2021 is taking place in Oman and the United Arab Emirates. The West Indies are the defending champions, having lifted the trophy for the second time in 2016. Fixture and matches.

The shocking stabbing of Sir David Amess has rightly led to huge tributes from all parties in Parliament including one about a boiled sweet..

Stephen Cottrell as you can imagine wrote a wonderful tribute in The Telegraph and below  is how he finished it....

I will endeavour to remember David in what can feel at times an increasingly more vulgar, less tolerant, nasty and vituperative world by trying to be kind, by loving my neighbour, by cultivating opponents with persistent kindness and by refusing to respond when people ask me to take sides on anything other than the common good of all God’s people.

David Amess didn’t wear his faith on his sleeve. He wore it in his heart. That’s the best place for it. It means it runs through your very being.
